Gene Scudder
STREATOR- Gene N. Scudder 79 of Streator died Sunday morning (Feb. 26, 2012) at ASTA Care Nursing Home, Toluca.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at Hagi Funeral Home, Streator with Rodney Kreier officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 AM Friday at Hagi Funeral Home. Burial with full military rites conducted by members of American Legion Post # 217 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post # 1492 will be in Riverview Cemetery, Streator.
Mr. Scudder was born Nov. 12, 1932 in Lacon the son of Carl and Laura (Green) Scudder. He married Josephine Zito, who preceded him in death.
Gene had been employed at Owens Illinois Glass Co. Streator prior to his retirement, March 1, 1980. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the US Army. He attended Lacon grade schools and Lacon High School.
He is survived by two sons, Michael (Lou Ann) Scudder, Kankakee and Gene (Karen) Scudder, Green Bay Wisconsin, four grandchildren, Jennie, Claire, Joey and Jason, one brother, Robert Scudder, St. Louis MO also survives.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
