Gabriele Atria

Gabriele Atria, 50 of Streator passed away Thursday June 5, 2025 in Streator.

A Celebration of Gabe’s Life will be held Tuesday, June 10, 2025 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Hagi & Schultz Funeral Home, Streator. Following the celebration of life, family and friends are invited to the Eagles for drinks and dinner.  Cremation rites will be accorded.

Gabe was born May 17, 1975 in Italy, a son of Gaspare and Anna Maria (Giacalone) Atria.

He is survived by a son, Antonio (Mallory Shannon) Atria of Kettering, OH; two grandsons, Luca and Beckham Atria; his mother, Anna Maria Atria of Streator; a sister, Maria (Joseph) Dambrauskas of New Lenox; a brother, Calvin (Kaylee Kircher) Atria of Streator; and two nieces, Alesandra and Gabriella Dambrauskas.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gaspare.

Gabe loved boating, riding his motorcycle and traveling. He was a person that would lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Above all, Gabe loved his family. He was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, friend, and most of all, beloved “Nonno” to his grandsons.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), Illinois Suicide Prevention Alliance, or North Central Behavioral Health Systems.
