Frank Schmitt Jr.

Frank L. Schmitt, Jr., 42, of Streator passed away at 1:04 PM Sunday (March 19, 2017) in Metropolis, Illinois.

A visitation will be held from 9 AM until Noon on Saturday at the Hagi & Baker Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be at Noon at the funeral home.  Rev. Rodney Kreier will officiate.

Cremation rites will be accorded.

He was born on November 24, 1974 in Streator to Frank & Carol (Kinkade) Schmitt Sr.  He married the former Shannon Bethard on July 14, 2000 in Ottawa.  She survives.

He is also survived by a son, Jacob Schmitt of Streator, his father of Streator and two sisters:  Leann Cook of Streator and Kim Schmitt of Lacon.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

He graduated from Streator Township High School in 1993 and was employed by Calkins Trucking.

He loved Harley Davidson’s.
