Ethel Wilkerson

Ethel L. Wilkinson 89 of Streator died Thursday afternoon (Feb. 17, 2011) at Perry Memorial Hospital , Princeton .
Private family funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at Hagi Funeral Home, Streator with Rev. Bill Niebuhr, officiating. Private family visitation will be held prior to the funeral services. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, Streator.
Mrs. Wilkinson was born July 26, 1921 in Neponset IL the daughter of George and Elsie ( Moore ) Harlan. She married Edgar Leo Wilkinson, Apr. 9, 1944 in Neponset. He preceded her in death Mar. 3, 1995.
Ethel was the office manager for the family business, E.L. Wilkinson Plumbing for many years prior to her retirement. She was a member of the former Hope United Methodist Church and currently a member of First United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women, all of Streator. She attended Neponset grade school and was a graduate of Neponset High School class of 1939.
She is survived by two daughters, Marilyn (Robert) Muhlstadt, Henry and Diana (Randall) Taylor, Mt. Horeb , WI , one son, Everett Wilkinson, Streator, seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and one great great grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, Sandra Nilsson, one granddaughter, Lisa Thompson and one brother Lawrence Harlan.
Pallbearers will be grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Society or to the donor’s choice.
