Emagene Flanary

Emagene Flanary, 83 of Streator passed away on Friday, January 7th 2022.

Emagene was born on July 9, 1938 in Granville, Illinois to John and Mary (Bima) Stockdell. She married Bert Flanary on April 10, 1961 in Springfield, IL.

She is survived by one son, Jamie (Maura) Flanary of Belvidere, IL; one daughter, Shana Durdan of Streator; four grandsons; one granddaughter; and one brother, John (Mary Esther) Stockdell of Streator.

She was preceded in death by her husband on December 22, 2020; a son, Nicky Flanary; a sister, Esther Colmone; and a brother, Gale Stockdell.

Emagene was a devout Christian, participated in Christian Woman’s Club and loved to cross stitch.

A private memorial service was held at Riverview Cemetery. Hagi & Schultz Funeral Home, Streator is assisting the family with arrangements.
