Edith Scheid

STREATOR-  Edith Mae Scheid 83 of Streator died Tuesday morning (Aug. 28, 2012) at St. Mary’s Hospital, Streator.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at Hagi Funeral Home, Streator with Rev. Bill Niebuhr, officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 PM Thursday at Hagi Funeral Home. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Streator.
Mrs. Scheid was born Aug. 15, 1929 in Streator the daughter of Charles and B. Madeline (Ascroft) Bute. She married Robert “Polly” Palochko in October 1948. She later married James R. Scheid, Nov. 27, 1956 in Ottawa. He preceded her in death Dec. 28, 1991.
Edith had been employed at Thatcher Glass Co, Spurgeon’s and at Sandy’s Ice Cream all of Streator. She attended Streator grade schools and was a graduate of Streator High School, class of 1947.
She is survived by two sons, James  Palochko, Streator and Jason (Sharon)  Scheid, Dwight, three grandchildren, Wendi Rexroad, Streator, Tiffany (Justin) Sherriff, Bloomington and Jaron Scheid, Dwight, two step grandsons, Adam (Julie) Oelschlager, Mississippi and Austin (Katie) Oelschlager, Las Vegas NV., several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, three sisters, two brothers and two nephews
Pallbearers will be family members.
Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
