Eddie T. Felten, 87 of Streator passed away Thursday, May 8, 2025 at his residence.
Eddie was born April 14, 1938 in Kewanee, a son of Carl J. and Violet M. (Rosenow) Felten.
He is survived by 5 daughters, Theresa (Bill) Schuster of Sapulpa, OK, Julie (John) Salisbury of Montgomery, IL, Shyloh Lieske and Brietta Baer, both of Ottawa, and Crystal (Will) Stanley of Streator; 19 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Don (Wanda) Felten of Alamogordo, NM; three sisters, Mary Lou Smith of Alamogordo, NM, Paddy Schwemlein of Mendota, and Ruth Ann Dobrydnia of Hennepin; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Lynnann Thomas; a granddaughter, Grace Stanley; and a sister, Carla Ballenger.
Eddie proudly served our country in the United States Marines in the Vietnam War and Cuban Missel Crisis. He had been a truck driver for over 40 years, last working for Domino Transport in Bloomington.
Eddie had always treated anyone he would meet like family. He was liked and loved by anyone who had met him.
Eddie’s Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 24, 2025 at the Screaming Eagles MC Clubhouse, 4514 W. Section Street, Kangley, starting at 12:00 Noon with military rites performed by the Leslie G. Woods American Legion Post 217 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1492.
