Earl Muntz

STREATOR-  Earl E. Muntz 85, of Streator died Saturday morning (May 11, 2013) at Heritage Health, Streator.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 AM Wednesday at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Streator with Monsignor Philip Halfacre, officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00-11:00 AM Wednesday at Hagi Funeral Home, Streator. Burial with full military rites conducted by member of American Legion Post # 217 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post # 1492 will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Streator.
Mr. Muntz was born July 18, 1927 in Streator the son of John and Mary Esther (Hennessey) Muntz.
Earl had been employed as a mold maker at Owens-Illinois Glass Co., Streator for forty years, prior to his retirement. He was a member of the former Immaculate Conception Church and currently a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church, Streator. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the US Army signal Corps.
Earl was known for his distinctive walk as he walked his beloved dogs around town. His reminisces and stories will be remembered and missed by all he shared them with.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Hattie Hrasch and brothers, Francis, Carl and Arthur Muntz.
Pallbearers will be family and friends, honorary pallbearers will be William F. Muntz, Max Barton and Charles Dominic.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army or to the donor’s choice
