STREATOR- Douglas M. Winn 69 of Streator died Monday evening (Mar. 12, 2012) at St. Mary’s Hospital, Streator.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday at Hagi Funeral Home, Streator, with Rodney Kreier officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00-4:00 PM Saturday at Hagi Funeral Home.
Mr. Winn was born Sept. 11, 1942 in Churchville NY, the son of Harold and Dorothy (Tuttle) Winn. He had been married to Elizabeth Benner, she survives in Streator.
Doug had been employed at Owens-Illinois Glass Co. for forty years and also farmed. He served several terms as a Grand Rapids Township Supervisor. He attended Woodland grade school and was a graduate of Woodland High School, class of 1961.
He is survived by four daughters, Kathy Jo (Tom) McBride, Christina (George) Travis and Deanne (Grant) Vicic all of Streator and Carey (Bob) Burns, LaSalle, two sons, Raymond (Jennifer) Winn, Colorado Springs CO and Jeffrey (Patrick Wessels) Winn, Chicago, six grandchildren, Zephan, Guy and Alexander Winn, Amelia, Riley and Lydia Vicic, one sister, Anna Winn, Streator, five brothers, Harold Winn, LaPorte MN, Russell Winn, Ranger TX, James “Robert” (Barbara) Winn, Streator, David (Carol) Winn, Streator, Thomas (Junitta) Winn, Tomball TX and Willis Winn, Rising Sun IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Doug Winn, one grandson, Matthew Vicic, three sisters, Alice Winn, Wilma Whalen and Mary Dittmer.
