Dorothy Pence

Dorothy Pence, 71 formerly of Streator passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Decatur.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Hagi & Schultz Funeral Home, Streator with Rev. Matt Payne officiating.  Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Streator.  Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 AM Saturday prior to services at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Dorothy was born January 11, 1952 in Streator, a daughter of Reno D. and Leona E. Novotney Pence. 

She is survived by her children, Susan (Scott) Wicker of Illiopolis, David Freeman of Denver, CO, Michael Freeman of Ventura, CA and Aaron (Jasmine) Freeman of Pleasant Plains; a bonus daughter, Michelle Mann; 15 grandchildren, Sarah, Addison, Elizabeth, Jadein, Cora, Lillie, Stacia, Logan (Shea), Aaron, Lance, Michael, Larry, Darren, Andrew, and Elijah; and several great grandchildren.   Also surviving are three sisters, Ivalee Pence of Streator, Charlene (Joe) Lorentzen of Oglesby, and Katherine Morris of Cody, Wyoming; and a brother, Reno (Sheri) Pence of Streator.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister in infancy; and a son, Darren Freeman.
