Dorothy Chadd

Dorothy A. Chadd, 82, of Streator passed away at 7:27 PM Sunday (November 12, 2017) at Parker Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Streator.

Private services will be held at St. Stephen’s Cemetery Chapel with interment in St. Stephen’s Cemetery.  Rev. Raymond Guthrie will officiate.

The Hagi & Baker Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

She was born on June 22, 1935 in Ottawa to Elmer & Anna Marie (Anderson) Lemke.  She married Donald R. Chadd on April 13, 1955 at St. Stephen’s Church.  He preceded her in death in 1994.

She is survived by a son, Brian Chadd of Streator; a sister, Charlotte Boal of Lombard; a brother, Gary (Sharon) Lemke of Ottawa and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister Mary Ellen Linn and a brother, Dick Lemke.

She graduated from Ottawa High School.

She had been a telephone operator for Bell Telephone and also at St. Mary’s Hospital.

She was raised in Ottawa and Streator and was a member of the former St. Stephen’s Church and now a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church.

She loved traveling with her husband and loved to garden.
