Doris Uratchko

Doris J. Uratchko, 88, of Streator passed away at 9:39 AM Wednesday (April 18, 2018) at Heritage Health in Streator.

A visitation will be held from 9-11 AM Saturday at the Hagi & Baker Funeral Home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 AM Saturday at St. Michael the Archangel Church.  Rev. Raymond Guthrie will officiate.

Interment will be in St. Stephen’s Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be grandchildren and great grandchildren:  Nick Yanello, Lane Thompson, Wyatt Thompson, Brandon Thompson, Mitchell Uratchko and Zach Uratchko.

She was born on January 11, 1930 in Streator to Russell & Edith (Brown) Robertson.  She married Daniel Uratchko on May 20, 1950.  He preceded her in death on October 9, 2009.

She is survived by a son, David R. (Carrie) Uratchko of Streator; a daughter, Danielle R. (James) Thompson of Streator; 4 grandchildren:  Shannon (Matt Kerper) Thompson of Streator, Brandon (Dustie) Thompson of Ransom, Mitchell Uratchko of Streator and Zach Uratchko of Streator; great grandchildren:  Nick Yanello, Lane Thompson, Wyatt Thompson and Riley Rose Uratchko; a brother-in-law:  Elmer Osterdock of Streator and dear friends, Dean & Karen Bundy Sr., Dean Bundy Jr and Norma Risley.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; a sister, Verna Osterdock and a dear friend Phyllis Chismarick.

She attended Streator Township High School and had worked for Unit District #5 at Wilson School, Prairie Farms in retail, Top Save and S.C.I. & D.S.I.

She was a former member of St. Stephens Church and now a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church and formerly volunteered at St. Mary’s Hospital.

Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
