Donna McJunkin

Donna Jean McJunkin, 88, of Des Plaines, IL and formerly of Seneca passed away at 1:15 PM Tuesday (July 17, 2018) at her residence.

A memorial visitation will be held from 10-11 AM Saturday (July 28, 2018) at the Friends in Christ Lutheran Church in Morris.

Memorial services will be held at 11 AM Saturday (July 28, 2018) at the church.  Pastor Mark Willig will officiate.

Inurnment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Seneca.

The Hagi & Baker Funeral Home in Streator is in charge of the arrangements.

She was born on August 28, 1929 in Ransom to Charles Homer & Bertha Agnes (Baker) Shockey.  She married James P. McJunkin.  He preceded her in death in June of 1994.

She is survived by her children:  Georgette Walker of Morris, Linda McJunkin of Palatine, Terry "Jim" McJunkin of Des Plaines, Jerry (Julie) McJunkin of Orlando, FL and Johnnie McJunkin of Des Plaines; grandchildren:  Denise Sarto, Jerry James, Jim and Samantha McJunkin; great grandchildren:  Daniella & Amelia Sarto; a sister, Sue Kern of Streator and a brother:  Jim “Butch” Shockey of Seneca.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; grandson, Daniel Walker; great granddaughter, Kaylee Walker and 1 brother and 3 sisters.

She graduated from Seneca High School in 1946 and attended Illinois State University.

She retired in 2003 from Davidsmeyer Bus Company.

She loved working in her yard and was very dedicated to her family.

Memorials may be directed the charity of the donor’s choice.
