Donald Tunget

STREATOR- Donald E. Tunget 69 of Streator died Monday (Dec. 30, 2013) afternoon at Parker Nursing and Rehabilitation, Streator.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Sunday (Jan. 5, 2014) at Hagi Funeral Home, Streator with Rev. Bill Niebuhr, officiating. Visitation will be held from Noon-2:00 PM Sunday at Hagi Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Long Point Cemetery at 2:00 PM Tuesday due to the inclement weather.
Mr. Tunget was born Aug. 2, 1944 in Ottawa the son of Lloyd and Yvonne (Formhals) Tunget. He married Sherry LaVelle, Sept. 1, 1965 in Ottawa. She preceded him in death Jan. 28, 2013.
Don had been the owner and operator of the former Vermillion Club, Streator.
He is survived by four daughters, Becky (William Spraggon) Tunget, Jennifer (Harry) Smith III, Regina (Jason Mounce) Taylor, all of Streator and Shawna Tunget, Spring Valley, one son, Billy Tunget, Granville, sixteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, three sisters, Vicki (Jim) Baietto, Arizona, Linda (David) Woodyear, Ottawa and Marilyn (Hershel) Gillenwater Sr. Ottawa, six brothers, John (Janet) Tunget, Darien, Allen (Lori) Tunget, Naplate, Dale and Michael Tunget, Ottawa, Steven Tunget, Broadview and Thomas (Gayle) Ganiere, Ottawa along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one sister, Joanne Caffee and four brothers Gerald, James, Robert and Gordon Tunget.
Pallbearers will be Donald and Dillon Scott, William Spraggon, Michael Taylor Jr., Jason Mounce and Justin Vargas.
