Donald Dominic

Donald J. Dominic, 83, of Streator passed away at 1:48 AM Sunday (April 2, 2017) at his residence.

Private services will be held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.

The Hagi & Baker Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

He was born February 23, 1934 in Streator to David & Mable (Dykes) Dominic.  He married the former Peggy J. Winstead on October 19, 1972.  She survives.

He is also survived by three daughters:  Denise (Rich) Ribordy of Odell, Dawn Bauer of LeRoy and Debra (Tony) Cargola of Hinkley; 7 grandchildren:  Audra (Jared) Biggs, Karen & Susan Ribordy, Matthew Bauer and Clay, Mason and Kennedy Cargola; 1 great granddaughter, Allison Biggs; a brother, Charles Dominic of Streator and a sister, Mary Lou Vannoy of Carlton, TX.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers:  Bob, David and Alan Dominic.

He graduated from St. Mary’s Grade School and attended Streator Township High School.

He served in the United States Army.  He worked as a mechanic for 41 years at Owen’s-Illinois Glass in Streator.

Don lived for his family.

Memorial may be directed to Primitive Methodist Church or Guiding Light Hospice.
