Denis Wilkerson

Denis L. Wilkerson 61 of Streator died Thursday (Mar. 3, 2011) at St. Mary’s Hospital, Streator.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday at Hagi Funeral Home, Streator with Rev. John Gutz, officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00-6:00 PM Sunday at Hagi Funeral Home. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery , Streator.
Mr. Wilkerson was born Nov. 9, 1949 in Streator the son of William and Sophie (Baker) Wilkerson. He married Judith Clayton, Oct. 5, 1974 in Streator. She preceded him in death Jan. 9, 2004.
Denny had been employed at Owens-Illinois Glass Co. Streator for thirty five years, retiring in 2006. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church , Streator. He attended Streator schools.
He is survived by three sisters, Thelma Farero, Hesperia CA , Emma Griffith and Edith Wilkerson both of Streator, one brother, Claude Wilkerson, Kentucky Lake KY , sister-in-law, Sharon Collins, Streator, brother-in-law, Michael (Jane) McGraw, Bartlett and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, four sisters, Donna Towner, Vela Houge, Sonia Reed and Alice Wilkerson in infancy, five brothers, Darrell, Richard, Jerry, John and Willis Wilkerson.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
