Dawn DeLong

Dawn Marie (Guddendorf) DeLong 42 of Streator died Tuesday afternoon (Oct. 4, 2011) at Provena Mercy Medical Center , Aurora .
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday at St. Michael the Archangel Church , Streator with Rev. Philip Halfacre, officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 PM Friday at Hagi Funeral Home, Streator. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Streator.
Mrs. DeLong was born Aug. 6, 1969 in Aurora the daughter of Rodger and Karen (Hefke) Guddendorf.
She married Eric DeLong, Sept. 16, 2006 in Aurora .
She is survived by her husband Eric of Streator, her father, Rodger Guddendorf, Montgomery, one brother, Jeff (Kristen) Guddendorf, Plano, maternal grandparents, Lewis and Virginia Hefke, Aurora, in-laws, Al and Judy DeLong, Streator, brothers-in-law, Todd DeLong, Streator and Matthew (Kristen) DeLong and Kevin (Stephanie) DeLong, both of Pontiac, several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her mother and her paternal grandparents.
She was a graduate of Aurora Christian High School , class of 1988.
Dawn was a loving person who cared about those around her and brought joy to their lives. She treated others with respect and was pleasant to be around. She will be missed greatly by all that knew her. This includes her co-workers at Mooseheart International, her family and friends.
Pallbearers will be, Todd, Kevin and Matthew DeLong, Tim Welch, Kevin Jensen and John McCain. Honorary pallbearer will be Keegan DeLong.
Memorial may be made to the donor’s choice.
