Davie Jo Kotches

Davie Jo Kotches, 74 of Streator, passed away Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026 at her home surrounded by family.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, April 11, 2026 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Streator, with Pastor John Gutz officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Streator. Pallbearers will be Robert Britenstine, Bo Blevins, Will Blevins, Pete Williamson, Anthony Williamson, and Logan Williamson. A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 PM Friday at Hagi & Schultz Funeral Home, Streator.

Davie Jo was born in Streator, a daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Arthur H. Overocker. She married Steve Kotches at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Streator and have spent 56 years together.

She is survived by her husband, Steve; two daughters, Jamie Blevins of Tulsa, OK and Jessica (Robert) Britenstine of Streator; three grandsons, Bo (CeeAnna) Blevins, William Steven (Marie) Blevins, and Jack Blevins. Also surviving is a sister, Toni (Tony) Miles of Streator; a brother, Mike Overocker of Ancona; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Jodeen Kotches; and a brother, Arthur W. “Archie” Overocker.

Davie Jo was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Streator. She was a teachers aide at several schools in Streator.

Davie Jo had a love for baking and was best known for her cakes. She was a loving and caring person and will be deeply missed by her family and anyone who knew her.
