David Winn

David A. Winn, 83, of Streator, passed away Monday, July 29, 2024 at the Arc at Streator surrounded by family.

 A visitation will be held Saturday, August 3, 2024 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Hagi & Schultz Funeral Home, Streator. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 PM at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded and graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday at Riverview Cemetery, Streator.

 David was born February 4, 1941 in Rochester, New York, a son of Harold and Dorothy (Tuttle) Winn. He married Carol A. Vissering on September 26, 1963 in Peoria.

 He is survived by his wife, Carol; two sons, Todd Winn of Bloomington and Terry (Angela) Winn of Madison, AL; three grandchildren, Kyle (Bridgette) Winn, Logan Winn, and Samantha Winn. Also surviving is a sister, Anna Winn; and three brothers, Harold, Thomas “Tom” (Junitta “Jo”), and Willis “Willie”.

 He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Wilma Whalen and Mary Dittmer; and three brothers, Douglas “Doug”, Russell “Rusty” and James Robert “Bob”.

 David retired from Owens Illinois Glass after 44 years. He was a faithful blood donor and had received his 10 gallon pin from the American Red Cross.
