Connie R. Compton

Connie R. Compton, 71 of Ransom, passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at Parker Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Streator.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Monday, October 12, 2026, at Hagi & Schultz Funeral Home, Streator. There will be a time of sharing remembrances and stories by family and friends at 6:30 PM. Cremation rites will be accorded following the visitation.

Connie was born November 24, 1954, in Aurora, a daughter of Walter and Donna (Olsen) Jornlin.

She is survived by her daughter, Casie Dennis of Ransom; her mother, Donna Jornlin of Ransom; her life partner with whom she made her home, John Hamilton; 6 grandchildren, Jonna Dennis of Ransom, Jordan Dennis of Eureka, Devon Arwood of Ransom, Deidra Dennis of Mendota, and Taryn Dennis and Shelby Dennis, both of Streator; two great grandchildren, Elliana Dennis and Rowen Dennis; and a brother, Steven Jornlin of Marseilles.

She was preceded in death by her father; and a brother, Scot Jornlin.

Connie worked at Heritage Manor in Dwight for more than 25 years. She enjoyed spending time outdoors and camping. She was known for her love of her Norwegian heritage. Most of all, Connie loved being around her grandchildren and cherished the time she spent with them all.
