Colbie Judith Riblet, Age 2, of Streator went with the Angels in her mother’s arms at 10:53 AM Monday (November 28, 2016) at O.S.F. St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria with her family at her side.
A visitation will be held from 3-7 PM Friday at the Hagi Funeral Home and also from 10-11 AM Saturday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Rev. Jacob Rose of St. Michael the Archangel Church will officiate.
Interment will be in the Long Point Cemetery.
She was born May 8, 2014 in Peoria to John Riblet and Tara Bronge.
She is survived by her parents of Streator; a brother, Cooper at home; her paternal grandparents: Arthur and Beth Riblet of Streator; her maternal grandparents: Judith & Daniel Hill of Middlebury, IN and Anthony Bronge of Las Vegas, NV; her great grandmother: Elsie Riblet of Streator; aunts and uncles: Amy & Richard Worsham, Heather Bronge, Alex Bronge, Kevin (Jesse) Riblet and Cyndi (Rob) Dellinger.
The family first and foremost, are so thankful to have such a loving family and huge support group of friends. Colbie was such a special little girl that has touched countless lives. She has taught people how to be grateful, humble, considerate, kind, loving, caring, the list could go on and on, everyone that knew her loved her with all they had to give and she knew she was so loved by everyone.
We don’t think of Colbie as losing a battle or being taken from us by these circumstances. She was a tenacious and willful little woman. We see this as her having the courage and strength to see what was beyond this life for her. To be adamant to not let herself be tied down by tubes and machines and to venture out to see what she can find for herself on the other side.
We wanted to take a few minutes to thank everyone for their kind, loving words and to ask help celebrating her life and incredible strength.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
