Charles Krause

Charles “Charlie” E. Krause, 69, of Streator passed peacefully May 22, 2019 at Heritage Health and Rehabilitation in Streator surrounded by his family.  Charlie suffered from Liver Cancer.

Charlie was born in Chicago, IL on April 22, 1950 to Charles & Vera (Hansen) Krause.  He was a long time resident of Valley View, IL.  He moved to Streator in January of 2012.

Charlie worked Tool and Dye for Chicago Rawhide for 27 years before moving to Streator.

Charlie loved to go fishing and riding in the wind on his Harley.  His hobby was working on muscle cars.

Charlie is survived by his wife of 27 years the former Barbara J. Becker; sons:  John J. Kinkelo of Streator, Charlie (Erika Heaton) Heaton-Krause of Maryland; daughter, Carrie J. Pierce of St. Charles; sisters, Bonnie Learie of Plano, IL, Bette Anderson of Sandwich, IL, Elizabeth (Kevin) Senne of South Elgin, IL and Illa “Faye” Hedrick of Winchester; a special daughter, Sydney Huber-Pierce of Rockford, IL; six grandchildren; one great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, his loyal cat, Chasbar and his wonderful neighbors.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Diana Becker-Thompson and his grandparents.

Cremation rites will be accorded and a memorial will be announced at a later date.  The Hagi & Baker Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
