Brian Stansbury

Brian S. Stansbury, 53 of Streator passed away Friday, March 25, 2016 at his residence.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Hagi Funeral Home, Streator, with Rev. Rory Christensen officiating.  Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Streator.  Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 AM Saturday at the funeral home.  Pallbearers will be Mike Renner, Charles Cipalo, Terry Henson, Rob Stansbury, Joe Minneci and Tom Metzke.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Dave Stansbury, Christopher Stansbury, Trevor Quaintance, Payton Quaintance, Eli Quaintance and Brian’s cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are directed to the family.
Brian was born October 13, 1962 in Streator, the son of John and Gert Cipalo Stansbury.  He married Jane Wonders on October 16, 1982 in Streator.  She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Brian Stansbury and Rob Stansbury both of Streator; his parents, John and Gert Stansbury of Streator; a brother, Dave Stansbury of North Carolina; and a sister, Kelly Stansbury-Quaintance of Streator.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Stansbury and a niece Isabella Quaintance.
Brian was a 1980 graduate of Woodland High School.  He was a prison guard and retired from the Pontiac Correctional Center.  He was a trustee for the Reading Volunteer Fire Department and also a trustee on the Reading Township Board.
