Beverly Neu

Beverly Jean Neu, 87, of Kinsman, IL passed away at 9:51 PM Monday (October 23, 2017) at her residence.

A visitation will be held from 10-Noon Friday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Kinsman.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Noon Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Rev. Stanley Drewniak will officiate and also conduct graveside rites at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Ransom.  A luncheon will follow the graveside rites at the Kinsman Community Center.

The Hagi & Baker Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

She was born on June 23, 1930 in Streator to Emmett & Irene (Vint) McCambridge.  She married Eugene E. Neu on September 15, 1951 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  He preceded her in death on April 22, 2016.

She is survived by her children:  Nancy McCambridge of Republic, WA, Richard Neu of Dwight and Gary Neu of Kinsman and also several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sisters:  Marjorie Kruger and Marilyn Marso.

She was raised in Kinsman and lived in Kinsman and Streator all of her life.  She graduated from Kinsman Grade School and Mazon High School.  She had worked at Lipton Tea in Streator, Hedglin & Savage Insurance in Streator, Foley Electric and the LaSalle Power Plant.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Beverly loved working in her yard and loved making pies.
