STREATOR- Beverly Jayne Conner 81 of Streator died Wednesday afternoon (June 13, 2012) at Bloomington Health and Rehabilitation, Bloomington.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 AM Monday at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Streator with Monsignor Philip Halfacre, officiating. Visitation will be form 2:00-5:00 PM Sunday at Hagi Funeral Home with the Rosary recited at 1:30 PM. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, Streator.
Mrs. Conner was born Oct. 16, 1930 in Gilman, the daughter of Henry and Willa “Olivia” (Osterdock) Dutler. She married Richard E. “Moose” Conner, Apr. 26, 1952 at St. Anthony’s Church, Streator. He preceded her in death Oct. 16, 1999.
Jayne had been a beautician in Streator for many years and also an Avon representative and had been employed at Weight Watchers, Streator. She was a member of the former Immaculate Conception Church and currently a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church. She attended Melvin grade school and was a graduate of Melvin High School class of 1948 and attended Illinois State University, Normal.
She is survived by three daughters, Kristin (Tim) Sayers, Coal City, Jayne Ellen (Brian) Runyon, Normal and Jill McHale, Tampa FL, three sons, Philip (Kathy) Conner and David C. (Kris) Conner, both of Streator and Kevin (Barbara) Conner, Springfield, fourteen grandchildren, Stacy (Joe) Grunnet, Richard, Brendan, Amber (fiancé Eric Metelka), Frank and Bailey Conner, Sean (Angela), Erin and Catlin McHale, Hunter and Conner Sayers, Cort, Laina and Derek Runyon and one great grandson, William Grunnet.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Kelly Conner and brothers, Boyd and David Dutler.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Brendan, Richard and Frank Conner, Cort and Derek Runyon, Hunter and Conner Sayers and Sean McHale. Honorary Pallbearers will be George Benning, Ernie Maubach, Jeff Yacko, Dave Schafer, Jay and Dick Gossett, Jim Barker and Howard Donnell.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, American Cancer Society or to the Richard “Moose” Conner Scholarship Fund.
