Benjamin Menchaca-Tamez

Benjamin Menchaca Tamez "Benny", 64, of Aurora, formerly of Streator passed away Tuesday (November 7, 2017) at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora peacefully surrounded by his family.
A visitation will be held from 11 AM - 1 PM Saturday at the Hagi & Baker Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery in Streator.
He was born to Benjamin and Sofia Tamez on August 7, 1953 in Monterey, Nuevo León, Mexico.
Benny loved classic rock music, boxing and loved his family dearly.
He worked for Santa Fe Railroad for many years.
Benny is survived by his Mother Sofia Menchaca DeTamez and his siblings Jose ( Soila) Tamez, Rosalinda Cortez, Esperanza Tamez, Irma Terron, Ricardo (Hilda) Tamez, Juan Gustavo (Linda) Tamez, Martha (Marcos) Torres, Maria Susana Tamez,  Lilia Tamez, Alejandro Arturo Tamez, Juan Jr. Gonzalez, Andrea ( Isidro ) Partida and many nieces and nephews.
Benjamin was proceeded in death by his father Benjamin Tamez a sister Norma Tamez and a nephew Harold Wilsman Carpenter.
