Barbara J. Craig 78 formerly of Streator died Sunday morning (Apr. 15, 2012) at Fairview Care Center, Joliet.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday at Hagi Funeral Home, Streator with Rev. Daniel Stalker, officiating. Visitation will be from Noon-2:00 PM Friday at Hagi Funeral Home.
Mrs. Craig was born September 3, 1933 in Pontiac, the daughter of William and Pearl (Dodson) Cunningham. She married Richard Craig, July 2, 1954 in Pontiac. He preceded her in death Nov. 18, 1986.
Barbara had been employed as a nurse’s aid at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Streator. She was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Streator and the Altar Guild of her church. She attended Pontiac grade schools and was a graduate of Pontiac High School, class of 1952.
She is survived by one son, Michael Craig, Braidwood, one granddaughter, Katie Jean (Staff Sergeant, Jason) Shepler, San Diego CA and one great granddaughter Avery Nichole Shepler, San Diego CA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother, Carl Cunningham.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.
