Anne Yednock

Anne L. Yednock, 97, of Streator and formerly of Ottawa and Grand Ridge, passed away at 2:20 P.M. Thursday (August 15, 2019) at her residence.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 PM Sunday at the Hillcrest Memorial Park Chapel.  Rev. Peter Glock will officiate.  Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

The Hagi & Baker Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

She was born September 9, 1921 in Lorain, Ohio to Matthew & Magdeline (Koboulka) Pupik.  She married John Yednock on June 3, 1956 in Streator.  He preceded her in death on July 8, 1987.

She is survived by a son, Ron (Judy) DeGeare of Ottawa; stepchildren:  Kathie (Alan) Walter of Overland Park, Kansas, John (Terry) Yednock of West Chicago and Sue (Cip) Perez of Ervin, CA; a daughter in law:  Rhonda DeGeare of Nashville, TN and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph DeGeare, 2nd Husband, John Yednock; a son, Don DeGeare; and a sister, Mary Aleksin.

She worked at Libby-Owen’s Ford in Ottawa until her retirement.

She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and had been active at Mary Martha and the sewing circle of her church.
