Ann Benning

Ann Benning, Annie Bell, Annie Banana, Cinderella, but our favorite was Sister, passed away Monday, March 4, 2024 in Streator.

She was born on October 10, 1981 to parents George and Geraldine “Teena” Benning.  She is survived by brothers, Peter (Michelle) Benning of Pontiac, and Benjamin (Kari) Benning of Streator; and a sister, Jacklyn “Jackie” (William) Scarratt of Streator.   Also surviving are nephews, Ryan (Lauren) Benning, Zachary (Mandy) Benning and Christopher (Shelly) Scarratt; Nieces, Allison (Bryan) Dempster, Sydney Benning, Ava Glisson and 8 year-old, Zeelyn Penelope Benning who shares the same birthday with her favorite Special Aunt; and great nephews and nieces, Bryson Hall, Colin Benning, Zoey and Maxwell Benning, Hayden Scarratt and Jack Dempster.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Patrick “Bosco” and George Christopher Benning; and grandparents, Jack and Nora Benning of Streator, and Peter and Baldina Hasenmueller of Zeeland, North Dakota.

Ann was the Caboose of her siblings, and no one loved her more than we did.  She had a great smile, gave great hugs, and we adored her and will forever miss her.   Heaven has a special place for her, and we know she is already there.  Ann was our parents Pride and Joy.

There will be a private Mass of Christian Burial at St. Michael the Archangel Parish in Streator.  Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Streator.  Pallbearers will be members of her family.
