Ana Haley

MANVILLE-  Ana M. Haley 82 of rural Manville died Saturday (April 4, 2015) at Meadows Mennonite Retirement Home, Meadows.
Cremation rites will be accorded. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at a later date at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Streator. Hagi Funeral Home, Streator is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Haley was born September 24, 1932 in Holguin Cuba the daughter of Fernando and Olga (Talavera) Sainz. She married Daniel Haley September 6, 1952 in Peoria. He survives.
Ana was a laboratory technologist and owner of the former Medical Laboratory Services and co-owner of the former Streator Healthcare Management, she and her husband also farmed. She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church, Streator, a member of the former Streator Book Club and volunteer Spanish language interpreter for physicians. Ana immigrated to the United States from Cuba at age fifteen and was a graduate of Our Lady of Peoria High School and Marycrest College, Davenport Iowa
She is survived by her husband, Dan, one daughter, Michelle (Tom) Proksa, Streator, one granddaughter, Frances Hood, Lockport, two sisters, Olga Katus, Peoria and Lilia Allessi, Raleigh, N. Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association Central Illinois Chapter, Peoria.
