Allan Anderson

STREATOR-  Allan Anderson 88 of Streator died Monday (Dec. 22, 2014) at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Streator with Rev. Frederick Jensen, officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 AM Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Streator. Hagi Funeral Home, Streator is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Anderson was born July 26, 1926 in Streator the son of Allan and Violet (Sleater) Anderson. He married Lois Horman May 18, 1957 at St. Paul’s Church. She survives.
Allan had been a lifelong resident of Streator and was employed at Streator National Bank, Thomas J. Lipton Co., Anthony York Body Co, where he served as president from January 1979-August 1983. He also worked at Citizens Loan and Finance and CMT Corporation where he was general manager until his retirement in 1995.
He was an active member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church where he served on the church board, finance committee and was an usher. He attended Streator grade schools, Streator High School, Illinois Valley Community College and the University of Illinois.
He is survived by his wife Lois, two sons, Dean (Rhonda) Anderson, Waterford WI and James Anderson of Vienna IL, four grandchildren, Ryan, Marc, Mitch and Caleigh Anderson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Donald and a sister Barbara.
Pallbearers will family and friends.
